Your own numbers.
Your own what-ifs.
FinInAid is a thinking aid for financial independence. You put in your own numbers once, and every page works out a what-if from them: how long you could walk away from work, when you could stop, what a home, a move or a sabbatical would do to your plan.
Education, not financial advice. Nothing is bought or sold through FinInAid.
What you can explore
One set of numbers, questions
Your situation is kept once, and every page answers its own question from it. Change a number on any page and the others follow.
Ask AI about your plan
Questions about the page you're on, answered by Claude, an AI model from Anthropic, from your numbers and the context you choose to give it.
Your progress, month by month
Save your numbers each month, and FI forecast shows how far you've come towards what you'd need to stop.
Learn
Short articles on the ideas behind the pages, written to read in a few minutes. Open once you have an account.

Your data
Your numbers are yours
What FinInAid does with your data, in plain words. The privacy notice has the detail.
Kept in the EU
Your data is stored with Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt, Germany, and backed up there.
Never sold, no adverts
FinInAid is paid for by members, not advertisers. Your data isn't sold, or shared with anyone for their own use.
No trackers
Every page, script and font comes from FinInAid itself, so visiting tells no other company you were here.
Ask AI sees numbers, not you
Anthropic gets the page's figures and the context you wrote, never your name or email, and doesn't train its models on them.
Your card stays with the payment provider
FinInAid never sees or stores card details.
Leave whenever you like
Ask for a copy of everything FinInAid holds about you, or delete your account from the Account page.
Questions
Do I need a card for the trial?
No. The trial starts when you first sign in, and ends by itself after . Nothing is charged unless you choose to join.
What happens when the trial ends?
You can still sign in, read the results you last saved, your past Ask AI answers and Learn, and ask for a copy of your data or delete it. Saving, updating your plans and Ask AI need a membership.
Is VAT included?
Yes: a year is what you pay, VAT included, in euros. Payments are handled by FinInAid's payment provider.
How many Ask AI answers do I get?
in the trial, and in each year of membership, counted from the day you join. Ask AI shows how many you have left.
How do I cancel?
Turn renewal off on the Account page. Your membership lasts to the end of the year you paid for, and nothing more is charged.
What if a renewal payment doesn't go through?
Your membership carries on for after the renewal date while the payment provider tries again, and the Account page lets you update your payment details.
Can the price change?
If it does, members are told by email at least before their next renewal, with how to turn renewal off, and the new price applies from that renewal. The terms of use say so.
Is this financial advice?
No. FinInAid works out what-ifs from the numbers you give it, to help you think. Decisions are yours; for advice about your situation, see a licensed adviser.
